Inc., a pioneer in commercial Internet service
in Japan, founded IIJ America in San Jose in
1996. IIJ America celebrated its 10th anniversary
in the U.S. last year. In the past 15 years
since the start of the commercial Internet services,
the Internet itself has grown exponentially.
In accordance with the dynamic nature of the
industry, IIJ Group has been a forerunner of
technical initiative for 15 years in Japan and
11 years in the U.S. Our goal is to improve
customer satisfaction, expand our business operation
and contribute to the healthy development of
the industry as a whole.
As a member of the IIJ Group, IIJA offers
Internet backbone service to our core users
in Japan - government offices and enterprise
corporations. IIJA also strives to benefit customers
in North America by serving a broad array of
commercial Internet services and solutions renowned
for their quality and reliability.
IIJ was listed on NASDAQ in 1999, and on the
First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2006.
Through our continued enterprise initiatives
in Japan and the U.S., we would like to maintain
our understanding of infrastructure conditions
and customer needs in both countries, in order
for all of us to advance to a new Internet society.
