IIJA Document Exchange Service

An online storage service for intra- and inter-corporate file exchange and distribution, including anti-virus functions. IIJ provides a dedicated file server, as well as the capability to safely and securely conduct file transactions for large files, files containing sensitive information, etc.

File Operations
  Use a "WebUI" accessed through a Web browser or "WebDAV" accessible through a Web folder, according to whichever is compatible with your environment.
One-Time URL
  Function to temporarily provide access to a certain file through a randomly created address. Access is automatically terminated after a predetermined time or number of downloads. A One-Time URL can also be configured in conjunction with file uploads. This is a convenient function when you wish to distribute files to non-group members on a temporary basis.
One-Time Upload
  This feature function for guest user without account to upload file to DOX.A user can send a one time URL by using mailing feature of DOX to a guest user and the guest user can upload files using the received URL.This feature allow secure interactive file exchange.
Access Control
 

Establish access privileges for each folder on a user or group basis. Users without access privileges will not even be aware of the folder's existence.


Web-based email feature
  When users send files using the web-based email interface, the attaced file is automatically uploaded to the IIJ Document Exchange Service server, and the URL to that location is inserted into the message.(Maximum attachment size 2GB)

It is possible to use a one-time URL with setting of limited period of time, limited number of access or authentication.The attached file whose expiration period is over will be deleted automatically.

Customers can choose from the following three options as the authentication feature;

  • Authentication through account and password when using the Document Exchange Service
  • Authentication through a one-time password sent by email
  • No authentication

* This feature does not support a mail box since it is only for sending a email.

Access Log Reference
  Reference records related to file operations.
File Search
  Search for text contained in a file name or by latest modification date. This is a convenient function when searching the newest 10 files of a certain file extension, etc.
Virus Check
  Files are automatically checked for viruses at the time they are uploaded. Files containing viruses are flagged as errors, and are not allowed to be uploaded; a report describing the type of virus contained in the file is generated. Files already uploaded can be checked again for viruses.
Upload Notification
  A notification is sent to a designated email address when a file is uploaded.
Thumbnail Mode
  Thumbnail display mode allows for easier searching through large-sized image files.
Revision Management
  Manage a file's revision history, and track back to data as of a certain time and date.
Account/ User Group Management
  Manage accounts via the service host. The administration screen allows batch account creation, User Group configuration, and batch configuration of various privileges to individual members through the User Groups, greatly reducing time and effort required of administrators. Up to five User Groups can be created under the basic contract.

The customer must provide the following in order to use this service.

Proprietary Domain Name
Customer must be able to provide a proprietary domain name as follows: ex. sub.example.com
"sub" represents the subdomain used with this service. "sub" can be any name.

DNS Configuration
- When using customer DNS server
Provide the NS record for the host name to be used in conjunction with this service.
- When using the IIJ DNS outsourcing service
IIJ provides the necessary configurations.

SSL Server Certificate
The service begins with a self-signed certificate already configured, allowing for SSL encryption. However, we recommend you obtain an official server certification from a public certificate authority after service commencement.

* It is not necessary when a shared domain name is selected.
In that case, name.iij.us ("name"can be freely specified) is to be used as a host name.
