Outlook 2000 SP-1 Mail Setup
These directions work for Windows 95/98/Windows NT/2000/XP
STEP 1
- - Select "Accounts..." from the "Tools" menu
at the top.
Click the button for "Add", then click on "Mail".
STEP 2
- - Server Type: Select "POP3"
- - Incoming mail server (POP3): Enter "mbox.iij.us"
- - Outgoing mail server (SMTP): Enter "mbox.iij.us"

Click on "Next>".
- - User Name: Enter your e-mail account replacing with "%" instead of "@". (Example: taro%example.com)
- - Password: Enter your password.
- - Remember password: If you would like to save password, please
check this.
STEP 3
Select "Connect using my local area network (LAN)" and Click on "Next".
Click on "Finish" and Outlook will start.
STEP 4
- Select Accounts from the Tools menu.
- Click the Mail tab.
- Select your email account and click the Properties button.
- Click the Servers tab.
- On the Servers tab, select My server requires authentication.
- Click the Settings button.
- Under Logon Information , select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
- Select the Advanced tab.
- Under Outgoing server (SMTP), place a check in the box labeled section at the top, place a check in the box labeled This server requires a secure connection (SSL) and enter "465" as port number.
- Under the Incoming Mail (POP3 or IMAP), place a check in the box labeled This server requires secure connection (SSL). and enter "995" as port number.
- Click OK then click Close .
- Exit from Outlook. The next time you start the program the new settings will take effect.
