Outlook 2002 SP-1 Mail Setup
These directions work for Windows 95/98/Windows NT/2000/XP
STEP 1
- - Select "E-Mail Accounts..." from the "Tools" menu
at the top.
The E-Mail Accounts dialog will appear.
Click the button for "Add a new e-mail account", then click on "Next>".
STEP 2
- - Server Type: Check on "POP3"
Click on "Next>".
STEP 3
- - Your Name: Enter you name (Example: :taro)
- - E-mail Address: Enter your E-mail address﹛(Example: taro@example.com)
- - User Name: Enter your e-mail account replacing with "%" instead
of "@". (Example: taro%example.com)
- - Password: Enter your password.
- - Remember password: If you would like to save password, please
check this.
- - Incoming mail server (POP3): Enter "mbox.iij.us"
- - Outgoing mail server (SMTP): Enter "mbox.iij.us"
Click on "More Settings...".
STEP 4
Click on "General" tab. "Internet E-mail Setting" dialog
will appear.
- - Mail Account: Enter any name for this account setting. (Example:
IIJ)
STEP 5
Click on "Outgoing Server".
- - My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication: Must select
- - Use same settings as my incoming mail server: Must select
STEP 6
Click on "Advanced" tab.
If you would like to use "SSL encription" function, please setup as following.
- - Outgoing mail (SMTP): For Outgoing mail (SMTP), check mark "This
server requires a secure connection (SSL)" and enter "465" as the port number,
replacing "25".
- - Incoming mail (POP3): For Incoming mail (POP3), check mark "This
server requires a secure connection (SSL)" and enter "995" as the port number,
replacing "110".
Click on "OK".
STEP 7
It shows "E-mail Accounts".
Click on "Test Account Settings ...". If there is no problem, click
on "Next>".
STEP 8
That's all for the basic seting.
Click on "Finish".
